Renewal of Débora Waldman as musical director of the Orchestre national Avignon-Provence
During the board meeting on June 22nd, the members of the Board of Directors of the Orchestre national Avignon-Provence unanimously renewed Débora Waldman as Musical Director.
Débora Waldman took office on September 1st, 2020, for a period of three years. It will therefore be renewed from September 2023 until 2026.
In this perspective, the conductor wishes to continue her artistic work around three axes:
– Continue to reveal the works of women composers in history.
– Work and evolve in the tradition that must “constantly questionned”.
– Getting closer to the aesthetics of so-called “historically informed” music.
